China Leather Association, said that since China Micro PU leather substantial increase in consumption, the industry is currently facing a shortage situation.
The association said that in 2009 the Chinese people consumed more than 70 million square meters of ultra-finePU leather, 2011 the total area of the leather consumption will reach 1.1 million square meters by 2012 will reach 129 million square meters, the annual average growth rate of more than 20%.
Although the leather industry increased by 20 million square meters of production capacity, it is still difficult to meet the growing demand for the next two years.
